USDA lowered its forecast for world soybean production and stocks in 2016 – 2017

USDA January report states that soya harvest worldwide will be 337,85 mln tons in 2016 – 2017, which is 0,15 mln tons less than the December forecast, but it is 24,35 mln tons more than the 2015 – 2016 harvest. Thus the current season marks a record soya harvest worldwide.

Soya harvest in the USA is estimated at 117,2 mln tons (118,7 and 106,86), including for Brazil 104,0 mln tons (102,0 and 96,5) and for China 12,9 mln tons (12,5 and 11,79).

Soya export worldwide will be 139,9 mln tons (139,2 and 132,18), including for Brazil 59,5 mln tons (58,4 and 54,38).

Ending stocks of soya worldwide during the season will be 82,32 mln tons (82,85 and 77,19), including for Argentina 31,8 mln tons (32,0 and 31,95), USA 11,44 mln tons (13,08 and 5,35), Brazil 19,38 mln tons (18,48 and 18,63) and China 14,86 mln tons (14,46 and 16,91).
