Canadian soft wheat export down by 19 per cent.

Wheat export from Canada has been shrinking significantly during the current season despite harvest growth, Canadian Grain Commisiion (CGC) states. 6.2 mln tons soft wheat have been exported from Canada for the first 23 weeks of the season which marks a 19 per cent decrease compared with the same period of MY 2015 - 2016. Hard wheat export has gone down by 6 per cent to 1.8 mln tons.

Last year's wheat export from Canada was 22.134 mln tons, and USDA forcast for this MY is 21.0 mln tons.

Grain and grainbean export from Canada has reached 19.1 mln tons (-3%) since the start of the season, canola export reached 4.3 mln tons (-1%), peas export reached 1.9 mln tons (+35%), and soya export reached 2.9 mln tons (+19%).
