This has been the highest index since the end of January 2017. Sales growth is due to lower wheat prices in Chicago.
Sales since the start of the season exceed last years sales by 39.7% (36.3% a week earlier).
Between March 24 and March 30, the biggest wheat buyers were: an unspecified buyer with 134,400 tons, Taiwan with 98,200 tons, Algeria with 92,300 tons, South Korea with 65,000 tons, Mexico with 55,900 tons and Japan with 46,100 tons. Earlier signed contracts were cancelled by Guatemala with 700 tons and The Windward Islands with 300 tons.
The biggest wheat deliveries in the week were made to Mexico 127,700 tons, Japan with 114,400 tons, Indonesia with 75,700 tons, Thailand with 58,200 tons and Algeria with 52,300 tons.
