Over the past season, export was 7.684 mln tons. Over the entire season, 2.4 mln tons of barley will be exported to third countries, which is 0.4 mln tons more than the March forecast, but 48.3% less than the previous year. Barley ending stocks have been decreased from 1.649 mln tons to 1.047 mln tons, which is 18.9% less than 2015 – 2016.
German cooperative union DRV has increased its forecast on this season's wheat yield in Germany from 25.13 mln tons to 25.26 mln tons, which makes a 2.7% growth versus last year. Rapeseed yield will be 4.93 mln tons (4.83 and +7.1%).
Russian Ministry of Agriculture estimates the country's 2017 grain yield at over 110 mln tons.
According to an FAS USDA forecast, the 2017 – 2018 soybean meal consumption in Egypt will be 3.2 mln tons or +3.2% versus 2016 – 2017. Soybean import will be 3.1 mln tons (2.2). The biggest soybean supplier in 2016 was Ukraine with 840,000 tons followed by Argentina with 632,000 tons.
Over the month of March 2017, 683,470 tons of sunflower oil were exported from Ukraine, which was 59.2% more than March 2016and 54.7% more than February 2017. Between September 2016 and March 2017, export growth was +29% versus the previous year. Growth was the biggest over the first three months of the season – 35.8%. India, the EU, China, Turkey and others have remained the biggest buyers.
According to an Oil World report, 47,000 tons of rapeseed were exported from Australia in February versus 268,000 tons in February 2016. The EU with 413,000 tons (259,000), Japan with 29,000 tons (2,000) and the UAE with 17,000 tons (0) were the biggest buyers. 2 mln tons of rapeseed (1.38) were exported from Australia between the start of the season and February.
At the auction for wheat purchase carried out by Iran on 10.04.2017, the lowest price was offered for 200,000 tons of Russian wheat – 250 USD/ton C&F. American wheat was at the price of 258.17 USD/ton C&F – this was the lowest price while other lots were at 261.89 – 268.83 USD/ton C&F. Canadian wheat was at 290.63 USD/ton C&F, while Australian wheat was at 320 USD/ton C&F.
