World export of soybean is at a record level in April

According to Oil World, in April key suppliers of soybean exported 2 mln. tonnes more production, compared to April 2016, up to 15.07 mln. tonnes, which is a record level for this month of the year.

Brazil ranks first by export growth - 10.43 mln. tonnes of soybean, given 10.09 mln. tonnes a year earlier. Export from Paraguay increased to 0.9 mln. tonnes (0.77) and from Uruguay to 0.61 mln. tonnes (0.16).

0.63 mln. tonnes of soybean (0.68) were exported from Argentina, but export is expected to grow to 1 mln. tonnes in the coming months.

In April, 2.5 mln. tonnes of soybean were exported from the United States (1.07).

Since the beginning of the season, world export of soybean has reached 45.9 mln. tonnes (40.9), incl. soybean from Brazil 23.8 mln. tonnes (20.9). Growth is driven by greater demand from China. Domestic consumption of wheat remains unchanged at 6.9 mln. tonnes. 7 mln. tonnes of wheat will be set for export and the largest buyers will be Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, China and Iran.
