Ukraiine: Spring sowing is completed on 5.5 mln. ha
As of 5.05.2017 areas under spring crops cultivation in Ukraine amount to 5.5 mln. ha, 76% of the planned areas, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture

Spring wheat is sown on 167,000 ha, spring barley on 1.5 mln. ha, oats on 197 thousand ha and peas 378 thousand ha.

Corn sowing continues. Areas under corn cultivation amount to 3.1 mln. ha. Sunflower  3.8 mln. ha , soybean 793 thousand ha and buckwheat 18 thousand hа.

According to a preliminary forecast of the country's Ministry of Agriculture, 178,000 ha should be cultivated with spring wheat, with spring barley 1.6 mln. ha, with corn 4.5 mln. ha, with sunflower 5.4 mln. ha  and soybean 1.9 mln. ha.
