On June 7th, 2017 Algeria purchased 450 000 – 480 000 tonnes of wheat at price of 197.25 – 199.5 USD/mt, C&F. Most likely the wheat originates from France.

Chinese authorities held an auction for the sale of 1.86 million tonnes of corn, 2013 crop. 474,800 tonnes of corn were actually sold at the auction at price of 196 USD / mt. In the current week, 7 million tonnes of corn, 2013 crop are planned to be sold.

On June 9th, 2017 Saudi Arabia announced a tender for the purchase of 770,000 tonnes of hard wheat with 12.5% ​​protein content, for August – September shipment.

Japan has purchased 159,610 tonnes of milling wheat mill for shipment  in the period July 21st  - September 20th 2017. 81,115 tonnes of wheat were purchased from the United States, 55,075 tonnes from Canada, and 23,420 tonnes from Australia.

Jordan cancelled a tender for the purchase of 100 000 tonnes of feed barley of optional origin.

The Brazilian Conab raises its forecast for soybean crop in the country in 2016-2017 for fifth time, now to 113.92 million tonnes, which is by 0.92 million tonnes more than the May forecast. The forecast for corn crop has been increased from 92.83 million tonnes to 93.83 million tonnes. The total grain crops will reach 234.3 million tonnes, which is by 2.3 million tonnes more than the previous forecast and 25.6% more than in 2015 -2016.
