According to FAO forecast in 2017 the wheat crop in Iran will reach 13.5 mln tonnes which is 25% more than the average level for the last three years.The crop will overtop the domestic consumption with 3 mln tonnes,and the export can reach 2 mln tonnes.

On 13.07.2017 group of private Israeli companies have purchased two batches of corrn with shipping in August and September at  176 – 177.75 USD/tonne C&F.Two batches of wheat have also been purchased, at prices 177 – 178 USD/tonne and shipping in the same period.No purchases of barley were made.

In the past week the sales of soybeans in Argentina increased by 49% overtopping by 1.5 mln tonnes after the soybeans price on the domestic market restored.Despite of the growth the pace is below last year's level.In the period January - May 2017 sales of soybeans in the country reached 4 mln tonnes at average level for the last five years 5.85 mln tonnes.

According to APK - Inform forecast in 2017 sunflower areas in Russia will reach 7.5 mln ha in the past forecast. As of 09.06.2017, 7.2 mln ha with sunflower were sown in the country. In 2016 cropped areas were 7.6 mln ha.In 2017 – 2018 sunflower crop in Russia will be 10.3 mln ha which is 6.5% less than in the current season.

The authorities in China have permitted the import of 16 GM sorts of different cultures – five sorts of soybeans,  three of rapeseed, three of cotton, one of sugar beet,  and four of corn.

A batch of 81 000 tonnes Russian wheat was delivered to Syria.
