USDA: Global wheat production and export in 2017-2018 decline

Global wheat production and export in 2017-2018 are lowered in the July forecast of USDA

Export declines by 1.7 million tonnes compared to the June forecast to 737.8 million tonnes, 16.5 million tonnes less than the previous season.

Australia's wheat crop will be 23.5 million tonnes (23 and 35.1), China 130 million tonnes (131 and 128.9), the EU 150 million tonnes (150.7 and 145.5), Ukraine 24 million tonnes ( 25 and 26.8).

Global export of wheat and products from its processing reach 180.8 million tonnes (181.3 and 181.4), incl. From the EU 30 million tonnes (30.5 and 27), Ukraine 14 million tonnes (14.5 and 18) and the US 26 million tonnes (27 and 29.3).

In the new season the ending stocks of wheat will be 260.6 million tonnes (261.2 and 258.05).

Consumption of wheat in the world is estimated at 735.3 million tonnes (734.8 and 739.1).
