Turkey will harvest a record sunflower crop in 2017
Sunflower crop will reach a record high of 1.65 million tonnes at 1.47 million tonnes in the previous year and a 2013 high of 1.6 million tonnes.

Such a result is due to favoring natural conditions and larger areas under cultivation.

 

In 2017 – 2018 processing of sunflower in Turkey will be 2.03 million tonnes (1.87), the import will decrease to 550,000 tonnes (590,000) and the export will grow to 50,000 tonnes (47,000).

 

During the period October - June 2016 - 2017 Turkey's sunflower import reached 530,000 tonnes (381,000).
