A record quantity of grains was exported from Russia in August

According to Rusagrotrans, in August, Russia exported 4.84 млmillion tonnes оf grain, a new monthly record and exceeds the previous August 2014 record of 4.64 million tonnes.

4 million tonnes of wheat (4.21) were exported, barley export increased twice to 630,000 tonnes and that of corn 5 times to 116,700 tonnes.

 

During the first two months of 2017 - 2018, 7.54 million tonnes of grain were exported, 15% higher than the previous season. Barley export rose 1.9 times to 1.35 million tonnes and of corn 11 times to 470,000 tonnes. In July, 5.67 million tonnes of wheat were exported from Russia (5.63).

 

Major buyers of Russian grain in August are Egypt with 1 million tonnes and Turkey with 0.47 million tonnes. For the first time in top 5 of the customers is Tanzania with an import of 265,000 tonnes of grain. Saudi Arabia and Iran imported 262,000 tonnes of grain from Russia.

 

Up to now, there are orders fpr grain export from deep-water Russian ports in amount of 2.5 million tonnes. It is expected in September that the August result be repeated or exceeded.
