- Last week, a ship with 17,000 tons of sunseed oil was sent from the Russian port of Novorossiysk to India. Two weeks earlier, Russia exported 8,000 tons of sunseed oil to Malaysia and 3,000 tons to Egypt.

- In 2020, the Turkish oilseeds production is 2.62 million tons, which is 2% less than the previous year, according to the statistical institute of the country. The 2% drop is caused by the deline in the productions of the following crops:

• sunseed by 2% to 2.067 million tons
• rapeseed by 33% to 0.122 million tons
• soybean by 4% to 0.155 million tons

- Algeria has announced a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin with delivery in January - February. At the previous tender held on 12.11.2020, 600,000 tons of wheat were purchased.

- According to AmSpec Agri, 1.34 million tons of palm oil were exported from Malaysia in the period of Dec 1-25, 17% higher than the previous month. Throughout the whole of December, exports are expected to reach 1.6 million tons. Exports in January will decline due to the reduced demand from China.
