- According to data from FranceAgriMer, as of April 12, 2021, 86% of winter wheat crops in France are in good and excellent condition, compared to 87% a week earlier. It is noted that it is too early to assess the damage from the cold before 2-3 weeks.
- On Friday, commodity funds in Chicago were net buyers of 5,500 soybean contracts and net sellers of 3,250 corn contracts and 1,500 wheat contracts.

- In the first half of 2020/21, sunseed crush in Russia reached a total of 7.2 million tons (-7% compared to the previous year).
- During the week of April 12-18, 214,740 tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk, which is 2.4 times more than the previous week. The exported wheat was 165,744 tons and barley exports were 49,000 tons.

- As of 15.04.2021, 1.531 million hectares have been sown with spring cereals in Ukraine, which is 20% of the planned. 124,200 hectares (70.3%) and 1,059 million hectares (76.3%) of spring barley were sown with spring wheat. 35,800 hectares (+0.7%) were sown with corn.
- According to Oil World's forecast, 760,000 vegetable oils (408,000 tons a year earlier) and 970,000 tons of oil meal (461,000) tons will be delivered to Iran in the first half of the season. For the whole 2020/21, soymeal imports are projected at 3.7 million tons (+36%).
- According to the USDA forecast, wheat imports in Turkey are projected to reach 8.5 million tons in 2021/22 compared to 8.2 million tons in 2020/21.
