- In April, 5.08 million tons of soybeans were exported from Brazil to China (5.939 million tons a year earlier). In March, soybean exports were 315,300 tons lower. During the month, soybean imports in China reached a total of 7.45 million tons (+11%).
- Since the beginning of May, China has purchased 9.52 million tons of corn (new crop) from the United States, which is over 36% of China's annual import forecast for 2021/22.
- Exports from Argentina have been suspended after the start of the strike actions of the port workers on 19.05.2021 due to the low percentage of vaccination against COVID-19 in the country.
- In March, a record 498,000 tons of sunseed oil were exported from Russia (+71% compared to February and +5% compared to the previous record of 575,000 tons set back in August 2020). A record 153,300 tons were exported to Turkey and 111,300 tons to China.
- In March, 471,600 tons of wheat were exported from Kazakhstan (+32.5% compared to February and -10.3% compared to March 2020). In the first 9 months of the season, wheat exports reached a total of 4.2 million tons (+17.1%), which is the second highest level for the last six years. The largest customer was Uzbekistan with 2.46 million tons.
- In June, Malaysia maintained the export tax on palm oil of 8%. Over the period of May 1 - 15, 695,700 tons of oil were exported from the country (585,500 tons during the same period in April).
- On 19.05.2021, Algeria bought 400,000 tons of wheat at a price of 295 USD/ton C&F and delivery in July.
