In their July report, analysts from the IGC increased the forecast for the world's corn production in 2021/22 to a record 1,202 million tons (1,201 in June and 1,127 in 2020/21).

- In its July report, analysts from the IGC forecast a global wheat production in 2021/22 of 788.1 million tons (789.4 and 773.4), including:

  • Canada - 28.5 million tons (32.3 and 35.2)
  • Russia - 81 million tons (81.5 and 85.4)
  • the United States - 47.5 million tons (51.1 and 49.7)
  • Australia - 28.9 million tons (28 and 33.3)
  • the EU - 137.7 million tons 136 and 124.5)
  • Ukraine - 29.5 million tons (28.8)

World's wheat exports will be 191.5 million tons (191.3 and 190.1), including:

  • Australia - 20.5 million tons (19.7 and 23)
  • EU - 33.6 million tons (32.2 and 30.1)
  • Russia - 38.1 million tons (37.3 and 38.6)
  • Ukraine - 20.9 million tons (20.1 and 16.9)
  • India - 2.4 million tons 2 and 2.5)
  • Canada - 20 million tons (23.1 and 27)
  • Kazakhstan - 6.5 million tons (7 and 7.8)
  • the United States - 23.8 million tons (24.5 and 27)

The world's ending wheat stocks in the new season will be 280 million tons (283.3 and 279.2), including:

  • Australia - 4.5 million tons (5.4 and 4.5)
  • Russia - 12.3 million tons (12.6 and 12.6)
  • the United States - 18.1 million tons (20.1 and 23)
  • China - 127.1 million tons (129.1 and 127.7)
  • Argentina - 3.5 million tons 2.8 and 3.4)
  • the EU - 11.9 million tons (11.5 and 11)
  • Kazakhstan - 1.2 million tons (0.7 and 1.2)

- In their July report, analysts from the IGC increased the forecast for the world's corn production in 2021/22 to a record 1,202 million tons (1,201 in June and 1,127 in 2020/21). The corn production in Argentina will be 61.8 million tons (59.8 and 60.5) and corn production in the United States is projected to reach 377.8 million tons (379.5 and 360.3). The world's ending corn stocks are estimated at 270.3 million tons (267 and 267.7), including:

  • 8.1 million tons in Argentina (5.9 and 5.2)
  • 6.9 million tons in the EU (6.7 and 6)
  • 3.8 million tons in South Africa (3.2 and 3.6)
  • 28.1 million tons in the United States (28.5 and 27)
  • 5.8 million tons in Brazil (6 and 4)

World's corn exports are expected to reach a total of 180.5 million tons (181 and 189.3).

- As of 30.07.2021, 17.1 million hectares of cereals have been harvested in Russia, 56 million tons of grain have been harvested at an average yield of 3.27 tons/hectare (3.49 in 2020 and 3.45 in 2019). Wheat was harvested on 12.4 million hectares, 43.2 million tons of wheat were harvested at an average yield of 3.48 tons/hectare (3.63 and 3.63). Barley was harvested on 3 million hectares, 9 million tons of grain were harvested at an average yield of 3 tons/hectare (3.29 and 3.28).

- As of 30.07.2021, 5.7 million hectares of cereals were harvested in Ukraine (37% of the area), 24.3 million tons of grain were harvested at an average yield of 4.27 tons/hectare. 3.8 million hectares (55%) were harvested with wheat, 16.9 million tons of wheat were harvested at an average yield of 4.45 tons/hectare. 1.671 million hectares (68%) were harvested with barley, 6.863 million tons of barley were harvested at an average yield of 4.11 tons/hectare. Rapeseed has been harvested on 56% of the areas, 1.484 million tons of rapeseed have been harvested at an average yield of 2.61 tons/hectare.

- In their July forecast, analysts from the European Commission raised their forecast for the EU soft wheat production in 2021/22 to 127.7 million tons (125.8 million tons in the previous forecast and 117.2 million tons in 2020/21). Exports estimate remained unchanged at 30 million tons (27).

- According to FranceAgriMer data, as of July 26, 2021, 47% of the wheat areas in France have been harvested (14% a week earlier and 87% a year earlier). 90% of the corn crops (90 and 77) are in good and excellent condition.

- As of July 28, 2021, 99% of the areas planned for wheat have been sown in Argentina. 55% of the wheat crops are in good and excellent condition (57% a week earlier and 24% a year earlier). Corn was harvested on 81.4% of the areas (-9.2% for the week) and 39.6 million tons of grain were harvested at an average corn yield of 7.92 tons/hectare.

- Pakistan has purchased only 210,000 tons of wheat out of the planned 500,000 tons.
