In 2021, the total cereals production in China will increase by 2% compared to 2020 to 682.85 million tons.

- The Ministry of Agriculture of France forecasts that winter wheat areas in the country will reach 4.92 million hectares in 2022/23 (4.96 in 2021/22). The areas sown with winter barley are estimated at 1.23 million hectares (1.20) and those sown with rapeseed at 1.1 million hectares (0.98), which will be below the average level for the last five years. The wheat production in 2021/22 is projected at 35.4 million tons (29.2 in 2020/21). Corn production is expected at 15.1 million tons (+1.8), of Barley production will reach 11.5 million tons (+1.1). Rapeseed production is predicted at 3.3 million tons (unchanged). Sunseed production is expected to reach 2 million tons (+0.4) and soybean production is currently estimated at 0.45 million tons (+0.43).

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net buyers of 2,000 contracts of wheat and net sellers of 4,000 contracts of corn and 5,500 contracts of soybeans.

- According to Statistic Canada, the wheat production in Canada will be 21.7 million tons in 2021/22 (35.2 in 2020/21). The barley production is projected at 6.9 million tons (10.7) and the corn production at 14 million tons. The canola production is expected to reach 12.6 million tons (19.5) and the soybean production is estimated at 6.3 million tons (6.4).

- According to AgRural data, as of December 2, 2021, Brazil has sown 94% of the planned soybean areas for 2021/22 (+4% for the week).

- In 2021, the total cereals production in China will increase by 2% compared to 2020 to 682.85 million tons. Thus, the production will exceed 650 million tons for the seventh consecutive year and this level will greatly contribute to meeting domestic consumption. Areas sown with cereals in the new season are expected to reach 117.6 million hectares (+0.7%). The soybean production estimate was lowered by 16.4% to 16.4 million tons.

- According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 432,100 tons of barley and 297,600 tons of sorghum were exported from Australia in October. Exports of malting barley reached 82,800 tons (32,700 in September) and fodder barley exports were 349,300 tons (512,600).

- Indonesia extends its program for the production and consumption of biodiesel B30 (30% palm oil) until the end of 2022. Exports of palm oil will increase by 13% in 2021/22.
