- According to data from Rosstat, the grain production in Russia will reach 150.7 million tons of net weight in 2022, including 100 million tons of wheat and 13.9 million tons of corn. Separately, the sunseed production was 15.3 million tons. 10.8 million hectares (-3.8%) were sown with winter cereals.

- SovEcon raised their forecast for the Russian wheat production to 101.2 million tons (100.9). In 2023/24, the wheat production in Russia is expected to reach 86 million tons (+0.4 compared to the previous estimate).

- In January, wheat exports from Russia will reach 3.6 million tons (3.45 in January 2022), which is the fourth consecutive month with a record achievement. In December, exports will reach 4.2 - 4.3 - 4.35 million tons.

- Egypt's state company GASC bought 200,000 tons of Russian wheat at the tender held days ago (80,000 initially announced) from the same suppliers. The deal price remains unchanged at 339 USD/ton C&F (300-305 FOB) with delivery within February 1-15.

- Egypt's state company GASC has purchased 30,000 tons of sooil at a price of 1,415 USD/ton C&F and 30,000 tons of sunseed oil at a price of 1,330 USD/ton.

- The Government of India has extended for an unlimited time the zero tax on imports of refined palm oil and olein into the country. Duty-free imports of 51,000 tons of cotton were also allowed.
