In 2010/11 the production was 61 million tons, and in 1998/99 it was 47.8 million tons. The sunseed production is projected to reach 12 million tons (14,485), soybean production is expected at 5.5 million tons (5,788) and rapeseed production is estimated at 4.5 million tons (4,563).

- During the week starting on 15.03.2023, the export tax on Russian wheat will be 5,344 rubles/ton (5,371.6 a week earlier), the export tax on barley will be 3,016.6 rubles/ton (3,548.8) and the export tax on corn will be 2,615.3 rubles/ton (2,740).

- According to a Rusagrotrans forecast, a record 4.35 million tons of wheat will be exported from Russia in March. The previous best was achieved in March 2018 – 3.58 million tons. In February, the export was 3.26 million tons.

- As of 03/09/2023, 96% of the corn areas were harvested in Ukraine, and 27.02 million tons of corn were harvested (26.9 a week earlier).

- In 2022, France delivered 1.2 million tons of wheat to Egypt, which ranks second after Russia.

- According to Anec's forecast, soybean exports from Brazil will reach 14.7 million tons in March (7.55 in February and 12.2 in March 2022). Soymeal exports will be 1.91 million tons (1.29 and 1.37), corn exports are projected within 549,000 - 803,200 tons (1.94 million tons and 107,230), and wheat exports are expected at 612,800 tons (571,900 and 508,200).

- Analysts from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange have once again lowered their forecast for the 2022/23 soybean production in Argentina to 29 million tons (33.5 in the previous estimate), and the estimate for the corn production was lowered to 37.5 million tons (41).

- Saudi Arabia has announced a tender for the supply of 480,000 tons of wheat with delivery over the period of July-August.
