The planting of winter wheat for the 2024 crop continues, with 62% of the planned areas already planted (+7% for the week and 81% compared to the previous year). The sowing campaign of durum wheat has been completed at 10% of the planned areas (+5% and 21%), and winter barley at 76% (+7% and 91%).

According to CIARA-CEC data, in September, the industrial processing of soybeans in Argentina reached 1.9 million tons, and for the period January to September, it was 21.4 million tons, the lowest level in the last 12 years and 8.2 million tons less than the previous year. The capacity utilization was 32% (35% in August). Algeria has announced a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of wheat with an unspecified origin and delivery scheduled for December to January.
