Since the start of the season, export wheat sales from the country have been ahead of last year’s results by 40.7% (41%). For USDA’s annual forecast to be achieved there is less than 1%. The planned wheat export of 27.9 mln tons will definitely be achieved in the next couple of weeks.
The forward sales of 2017 wheat yield drag further behind the previous season and are now at 1.576 mln tons (1.948).
The biggest weekly wheat buyers were Indonesia with 73,900 tons, Japan with 71,900 tons, Mexico with 69,600 tons, South Korea with 69,400 tons and Nigeria with 58,800 tons. Earlier signed contracts were cancelled by an unspecified buyer with 110,900 tons, West Indies with 11,700 tons and Morocco with 2,900 tons.
Over the week, the biggest wheat deliveries were made to Mexico with 105,400 tons, Nigeria with 81,800 tons, Indonesia with 73,900 tons, Japan with 69,300 tons, China with 60,400 tons and South Korea with 55,400 tons.
