Since the beginning of the current season the Egyptian State Fund has bought 500,000 tons of wheat from the local farmers. 3.8 million tonnes of wheat are planned to be purchased until the end of the campaign.
According to FAS USDA forecast, in the new season the wheat yield in Kazakhstan will amount to 13 mln. tonnes or 13% less compared to the current season.
Tunisia purchased 75,000 tonnes of hard wheat of optional origin with shipment in the period 15.08 - 05.11.2017 and a price of 257.49 - 259.98 USD/mt, C&F.
The soybean harvest, crop 2016 - 2017 in the Brazilian state Parana (the second largest Brazilian soybean producer) is completed. The figure reaches 3,602 kg /ha, which is by 18% more than the previous year and is an all time record high. Soybean yield in the state reaches 19.4 mln. tonnes, which is 2.9 mln. tonnes more than the previous year.
On May 4th, 2017. Turkey revoked customs restrictions on import of Russian wheat into the country.
According to USDA forecast, in the new season wheat import into Thailand will decrease to 3 mln. tonnes or by 17% compared to the previous season. Import of forage wheat will drop by 27% to 1.6 mln. tonnes.
