USDA: Global soybean production will decline in 2017 – 2018 by 3.3 mln. tonnes

According to USDA analysts, global soybean yield will reach 344.7 mln. tonnes in 2017 - 2018 given 348.04 mln. tonnes in the current season, which is the second best result of all time.

Production declines are expected in the US to 115.8 mln. tonnes (117.2 and 106.8), Brazil 107 mln. tonnes (111.6 and 96.5) and Paraguay 9.4 mln. tonnes (10.3 and 9.2). Growth in Canada will reach 8.4 mln. tonnes (6.5 and 6.4) and China 13.8 mln. tonnes (12.9 and 11.8).

Global soybean export in 2017 - 2018 will reach 149.6 mln. tonnes (144.6 and 132.2), incl. from Brazil 63.5 mln. tonnes (61.9 and 54.4), the US 58.5 mln. tonnes (55.8 and 52.7) and Canada 5.8 mln. tonnes (4.4 and 4.2).

Global soybean stocks will reach 88.8 mln. tonnes (90.1 and 77.07).
