During the month, the export of the product reached 1.28 mln. tonnes (1.17) and the stocks amounted to 1.6 mln. tonnes (1.8).

During the period January - April 2017, palm oil production in Malaysia reached the record 5.5 mln. tonnes given 4.7 mln. tonnes a year earlier. Export during the period remained unchanged from January to April 2016.

In the coming months, Malaysian palm oil export will grow and stocks will continue to decline.
