The soybean oil production in the US decreased in April, while the export increased
According to Oil World, in April 2017 the production of soybean oil in the US decreased to 0.77 mln. tonnes (0.83 mln. tonnes a year earlier).

During the month, export of this product from the US increased to 0.1 mln. tonnes (0.06).

During the first 7 months of the current season, US soybean production remained at 6 mln. tonnes and export reached 0.77 mln. tonnes (0.62).

In the remaining months until the end of the season, the dynamics in the soybean oil sector will depend mainly on its consumption for biodiesel production and on the possible restrictions on import of biodiesel from Argentina to the US.
