Brazil is ready to repeat the record export of corn

According to forecast of Safras & Mercado, the second corn crop in Brazil will be at record high of 67 million tonnes.

Exporters are now ready to export record quantities.

The official export forecast for 2017-2018 is for 28 million tonnes. The National Association of Grain Exporters expects export of 30 million tonnes and the USDA of 34 million tonnes.

Now Brazilian corn is more competitive than the US. According to Celeres, between July and February, from Brazil, 4 to 5 million tonnes of corn can be exported on monthly basis.

Due to the good strong crop, between September and January, Brazil will be a serious competition for exporters in the Northern hemisphere.

The two corn crops - summer and winter - will be 96 million tonnes, and according to Safras & Mercado's 106.4 million tonnes.
