The sale of wheat, new crop, lags behind those of the previous year by 0.4%.
In the week, the major buyers were Japan 111,700 tonnes, the Philippines 59,100 tonnes, Malaysia 56,000 tonnes, Mexico 31,100 tonnes and Venezuela 30,000 tonnes. Previously signed purchase contracts were refused by Salvador 4,000 tonnes, an unknown buyer 40,000 tonnes and Honduras 2,900 tonnes.
The major recipients of wheat were Egypt 115,100 tonnes, Mexico 106,000 tonnes, Algeria 85,100 tonnes, Peru 41,800 tonnes, and Nigeria 38,800 tonnes.
