Saudi Arabia announced a large-scale tender for the purchase of 1.5 million tonnes of feed barley.

The Iraqi government purchased 3.1 million tonnes of wheat from the 2017 campaign from farmers. The campaign continues until mid-August and it is planned 3.65 million tonnes of wheat to be purchased. Annual wheat consumption in Iraq is 4.5 to 5 million tonnes given an import of about 1 million tonnes.
