On August 23, 2017 Tunisiawill hold a tender for the purchase of 50,000 tonnes of feed barley most probably from the Black Sea region, for shipment October 1 – 25.

Japan announced a tender for the purchase of 133,791 tonnes of wheat from the United States and Canada.

Iran announced a tender for the purchase of 200,000 tonnes of forage barley and 200,000 tonnes of forage corn. Corn may be delivered from Brazil, Russia or Ukraine, and barley from Russia, Kazakhstan, the EU or Australia.

Egypt may cancel purchase of 63,000 tonnes of wheat from Romania because of its high poppy seed content.
