In May, the export of wheat from Russia will reach 4.9 million tons, which is 3.8 times more than last year. Total grain exports are projected at 5.75 million tons, which is 3.1 times more than last year.
According to Rusagrotrans data, 4.3 million tons of wheat were exported from Russia in May (1.35 in May 2022). In June, wheat exports will be 2.6 – 2.8 million tons (compared to the record 2.77 million tons in June 2018).
Refinitiv Commodities Research forecasts a 2023/24 wheat production in the United States of 46.3 million tons (-1.5 compared to the previous estimate and 44.9 in 2022/23), including winter wheat production of 32.6 million tons (-1.3 and +2.6), spring wheat production of 13.7 million tons (-0.2 and -1.2).
The Ministry of Agriculture of Canada predicts a 2023/24 wheat production in the country of 35.8 million tons (+1.5 compared to the previous estimate and +2 compared to 2022/23).
