In November, corn and barley export from France went down by 20 per cent

In November 2016, France's corn export was below 350,900 tons and barley export was 248,700 tons. Compared with November 2015 corn export has decreased by 24%, and barley export has decreased by 28%.

Belgium was the biggest buyer of French grain during the month with 48,300 tons of corn and 126,200 tons of barley, followed by Holland with 75,400 tons of corn and 51,200 tons of barley.

For the current season, FranceAgriMer predicts the corn export from France will be 4.87 mln tons (-20,1% compared with MY 2015 – 2016 ); barley export will be 4.545 mln tons (-40,9%).

656,000 tons of soft wheat were exported from France in November with Belgium the biggest buyer with 152,000 tons of wheat followed by Algeria with 106,000 tons.

Since the start of the season, wheat export has decreased by 33% to 4.1 mln tons  compared with the previous year.

Export levels have been decreasing for six consecutive months. During the whole season 10.9 mln tons of wheat will be exported (-47%), including 4.7 mln tons to non-EU states (-63%).
