Argentina exported a record amount of corn during the past year
22.1 mln tons of wheat were exported from Argentina last year which exceeds the previous record from 2013 of 19.4 mln tons.

According to Senasa data, the export of grain and oilseed as well as products from their processing is 77.4 mln tons (+9% compared with 2015).

Grain export has reached 33.6 mln tons (+37%), including corn +31% and wheat +95% up to 8.4 mln tons.

Soya export has gone down to 11.2 mln tons (-14%), soya groats export is down to 22.7 mln tons (-3%), soya oil export is down to 4.2 mln tons (-10%).

Informa Economics decreased its forecast for the corn harvest in Argentina over the season down from 36.5 mln tons to 36.0 mln tons. Wheat harvest forecast has been increased by 2 mln tons up to 15 mln tons.
