Soybean oil export went up to 520,000 tons (313,000). India with 237,000 tons (237,000) and Bangladesh with 105,000 tons (14,000) were the biggest buyers. South Korea bought 22,000 tons of soybean oil (0).

Soybean meal export reached 2.29 mln tons (+16%), but the level is lower than the initial expectations. Vietnam with 383,000 tons (239,000) and the Philippines with 111,000 тона (0) were the main buyers. Considerable growth was registered in deliveries to Pakistan 42,000 tons (10,000), Egypt 33,000 tons (0) and South Africa 60,000 tons (35,000).

Soybean meal buyers are hard to find now, because it is being offered in large amounts. The fact that biodiesel industry consumes considerable amount of soybean oil while soybean meal buyers are scarce creates an unusual situation. Soybean meal stocks in Argentina reached record 1.5 mln tons on December 31, 2017, which is the 2-week production of this product.
