10% of the planned areas of second harvest corn in Brazilian state of Mato Grosso have been completed compared with 16% and 4.8% a year earlier. Area completion is projected at 33% of the plan next week.

Deadline for optimal sowing runs out on February 20, 2017.  

912,000 tons of soybeans were exported from Brazil in January 2017, which is +230% more than January 2016. Corn export during the month was 1.45 mln tons, which is 66% less than January 2016.

Information from Brazilian ports state that 207,200 tons of corn will be exported from Brazil in February 2017, which is 88% lower than February 2016. this is due to lower corn stocks in the country.

According to a SENASA report, Argentina exported 4,263,860 tons of soybean oil between January and November 2017, which is 10.5% less than the previous year – 4,762,750 tons. 0.5 mln tons of oil (0.523) were exported to China, 126,000 tons (385,200) to Iran, 82,000 tons (317,400) to Venezuela, 2.33 mln tons (2.02) to India, 447,300 tons (196,000) to Egypt, 158,000 tons (63,700) to Algeria, 342,100 tons (256,100) to Bangladesh and 135,300 tons (118,500) to South Korea.

FAS USDA projected a +3 mln higher grain yield in Russia during the season.
