No barley or corn export was registered in the week. 373,800 tons of barley and 710,740 tons of corn have been exported since the beginning of the season.

Corn yield in South Africa will bounce back to 12.8 mln tons in 2016 - 2017, which is 60% more than 2015 – 2016, FAS USDA projects. 3 mln tons of corn will be imported in South Africa in 2016 - 2017 with 0.7 mln tons of export. 1 mln tons of corn will be exported from South Africa in the new seaon while 25,000 tons will be imported.

Morocco will carry out an auction for the purchase of 263,636 tons of soft wheat within the EU tariff quota. Delivery will be made before April 30, 2017.

Palm oil stocks in Malaysia dropped by 10.7% at the end of January compared with the previous month down to 1.49 mln tons, which is the lowest level for the past five months. Palm oil production in the country decreased by 9.1% during the month down to 1.34 mln tons, which is the lowest level since the beginning of April 2016. 1.29 mln tons of palm oil were exported from Malaysia in January (+1% compared with December 2016). The relatively weak export was due to main clients such as India and China shifting to soybean oil purchase instead of palm oil.

2.88 mln tons of corn were exported from Russia between the beginning of season and February 1, 2017, which is 39% more than last year. The increase was +41% a week earlier.
