Corn export reached 22.9 mln tons breaking the 2013 record of 20.3 mln tons. Compared with 2015, corn export has grown by 33%. Wheat export reached 8.9 mln tons, which is +204% more than 2015. The high growth is due to the fact that export wheat and corn taxes were revoked at the end of 2015.

Vietnam with 4.3 mln tons, Egypt with 3.0 mln tons, Algeria with 2.4 mln tons, Malaysia with 1.8 mln tons, South Korea with 1.5 mln tons, South Africa with 1.5 mln tons and Brazil with 1.4 mln tons are the biggest Argentinian corn buyers.

Wheat was mainly exported to Brazil – 3.9 mln tons. Indonesia comes second with 1.4 mln tons followed by Thailand with 0.8 mln tons, Vietnam 0.7 mln tons and South Korea with 0.6 mln tons.
