On January 22, 2017, Taiwan Millers Association purchased 102,850 tons of milling wheat to be delivered between April 19 and May 3, 2017. The price was 187.15 – 275.51 USD/ton FOB.

South Korean Association Kocopia purchased 55,000 tons of yellow corn at 200 USD/ton C&F. The wheat will probably supplied by the USA.

Egypt’s State Company GASC purchased 60,000 tons of soybean oil (versus the planned 25,000 tons) and 30,000 tons of sunflower oil (versus the planned 10,000 tons). Delievery will be made before April 20, 2017.

South Korean fodder producers association KFA purchased 62,000 tons of corn at 195.1 USD/ton C&F.

Tunisia announced an auction for the purchase of 109,000 tons of milling wheat to be delivered between March 15 and April 25, 2017. 25,000 tons of barley fodder are planned to be purchased too.

Iraq has cancelled an auction for the purchase of 50,000 tons of hard wheat while announcing a new auction for March 2, 2017.

Oil World reported that, as of the end of January, Brazilian farmers have sold 41% of their new soybean yield versus 50% a year earlier and an average of 49% over the past few years.

Libya has shifted an auction for the purchase of 100,000 tons of milling wheat, 50,000 tons of hard wheat, 75,000 tons of corn, 75,000 tons of barley fodder and 25,000 tons of soybean meal from February 22, 2017 to February 28, 2017. Deliveries will be in May.

On February 21, 2017, Jordan purchased 50,000 tons of hard wheat from Ameropa at 202 USD/ton C&F and delivery between July and August. On February 22, 2017, an auction was carried out for the purchase of 50,000 tons of barley fodder to be delivered in July.
