Oil World: Soybean Export From The Five Key Exporter Countries Grew By 0.4 Mln Tons In February

In February 2017 soybean export from the five key exporter countries reached 9.04 mln tons versus 8.63 mln tons in February 2016, Oil World reported.

4.64 mln tons of soybean (2.98) were exported from the South American countries including 3.51 mln tons (2.04) exported from Brazil, 1.07 mln tons (0.86) from Paraguay and 0.06 mln tons (0.01) from Argentina.

Soybean export from SAC went down to 4.4 mln tons (5.65) while no export was made from Uruguay (0.07).

1.2 mln tons of soybean (1.01) were delivered to the EU while 6.69 mln tons (6.43) were delivered to Asian countries including including 5.2 mln tons (4.71) to China. 0.08 mln tons of soybean (0.32) were exported to African countries.

Brazil is expected to retain its leading soybean exporter position. Over 3 mln tons of soybean were exported from the country in the first 12 days of the month versus 2.76 mln tons a year earlier.

Soybean oil export from the top four exporter countries went down to 0.53 mln tons in February versus 0.65 mln tons in February of 2016. 315,000 tons of oil (494,000) were exported from Argentina, 32,000 tons (48,000) from Paraguay, 100,000 tons (52,000) from the USA and 79,000 tons (54,000) from Brazil.

India with 203,000 tons (306,000), Bangladesh with 50,000 tons (83,000), South Korea with 15,000 tons (28,000) and Iran with 0 tons (45,000) were the biggest monthly importers. 32,000 tons of soybean oil (76,000) were exported to African countries while the export to the EU was 25,000 tons (0).
