Turkey Has Increased Oilseed Production And Import
According to an FAS USDA forecast, in 2017 – 2018 oilseed yield in Turkey (sunflower, soybean and cotton) will grow by 11% versus the current season up to 2.71 mln tons.

Sunflower areas will be increased to 0.65 mln ha versus 0.6 mln ha in 2016 – 2017 while yield will reach 1.4 mln tons (1.32).

Sunflower import will reach 425,000 tons (400,000).

Soybean areas will decrease by 10% to 27,000 hectares (30,000) while yield will go down to 90,000 tons (100,000). Soybean import will grow to 2.4 mmln tons (2.3).
