On April 3, 2017 Morocco will carry out an auction for the purchase of 132,000 tons of soft wheat. The wheat may be either domestic produce or imported.

Rabobank analysts decreased the forecast on palm oil price in Malaysia for the second quarter of 2017 to an average level of 621.4 USD/ton. The decrease is due to higher palm oil production in Indonesia and Malaysia. The February growth in Malaysia was +20.7% on February 2016.

South Korean company NOFI has purchased 199,000 tons of corn of random origin at 189 USD/ton C&F.

Japan has purchased 117,689 tons of milling wheat form the USA, Canada and Australia.

Egypt's State Company GASC will continue to accept wheat with humidity of 13.5% until November. The standard wheat humidity level is 13%. The current exception has been made because of France.

Soybean processing in Argentina decreased to 2.61 mln tons in February versus 3.21 mln tons in February 2016. Sunflower processing reached 204,000 tons (279,000). 5.57 mln tons of soybean were processed in Argentina in January and February of 2017, which is 1.55 mln tons less than the previous year. Sunflower processing reached 0.51 mln tons (0.48) in the same period. The processing of the six key oilseed grains in the country was 6.12 mln tons (7.62) in the same period.

According to FAS USDA's latest forecast, soybean import in China will be 89 mln tons in 2017 – 2018, which is 3 mln tons more than the expected export in 2016 – 2017. American soybean deliveries will be 30 mln tons. Rapeseed import will increase by 200,000 tons up to 4.1 mln tons with a decrease in domestic production of 400,000 tons down to 13.1 mln tons, which will be the lowest level for the past 7 years.
