Argentina Increased Wheat Export By 83% In January

1.639 mln tons of wheat were exported from Argentina in January 2017, which is 83% more than January 2016 according to a Senasa report.

Deliveries to Brazil grew by 7% to 373,300 tons.

Compared with January 2016, wheat export to African countries has rapidly increased. 155,500 tons of wheat were exported to Algeria (0 tons a year earlier) with 110,700 tons (0) exported to Sudan, 48,600 tons (0) exported to Tansania, 43,900 tons (0) to Kenya, 41,500 tons (30,200) to South Africa and 18,000 tons (0) to Uganda.

According to USDA's latest report, 10.1 mln tons of wheat (+5%) will be exported from Argentina throughout 2016 – 2017. Wheat yield is 16 mln tons (+42%) in the season.
