White corn production will reach 8.5 mln tons (3.4 mln tons in the previous year) while yellow corn production will be 5.8 mln tons (4.4).

In case the forecast is achieved, this will be the biggest corn yield in the country since 1981. Drought lowered the index to 7.78 mln tons last year.
