Corn Sowing In The USA Advancing Quickly

Corn sowing in the Southern parts of the USA is ahead of the usual plans, USDA reported.

80% of the planned areas in Louisiana have been sowed (48% a year earlier) with the numbers for Texas being 45 (34%), for Mississippi 30% (19%) and Arkansas 19% (15%).

Fast corn sowing is due to the warm and dry weather. Rain is expected in the next week, which will slow down the campaign, but will also let the already sowed areas to grow.
