A New Zealand farmer has broken the world wheat production record. It now stands at 11,290 kg/hectare versus the previous record of 11,100 kg/ha.

The average watered wheat production in New Zealand is 8,070 kg/hectare. The area which produced the record yield was 118,9 hectare in size.

On 31.03.2017 South Korean Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased 125,000 tons of fodder wheat of random origin at 187.90 – 189.25 USD/ton C&F to be delivered between 15.07 and 31.08.2017.

Iran is planning to remain a self-sufficient country as far as wheat is concerned and will continue with the export. Documents have been issued allowing the export of 3 mln tons of wheat. A contract has been signed for the export of 250,000 tons of whest. Negotiations with Iraq are on for the delivery of 600,000 tons of wheat.
