As of 2.04.2017 51% of wheat areas are in good or excellent condition versus 59% a year earlier; 35% (34%) are in satisfactory condition while 14% (7%) are in poor and very poor condition.
In the key regions – Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado - crop condition has become better following some rainfall.
In 2017, wheat areas in the USA will hit their lowest level since 1919 – 46.1 mln acres versus 50.2 mln acres in 2016. In 2016 the yield was 62.86 mln tons and now we expect about 50 mln tons.
