According to Oil World's latest forecast, sunflower yield in Turkey will reach 1.58 mln tons in 2017 – 2018 versus 1.47 mln tons in the previous season.

Sunflower areas will reach their maximum over the past 4 years: 0.73 – 0.74 mln hectares (+0.075 mln hectares versus 2016 – 2017). Completion of the forecast will lead to the country decreasing its import of sunflower oil and soybean oil. Sunflower sowing is currently on at a fast pace.

4.36 mln tons of soybeans were exported from the USA in February versus 5.65 mln tons a year earlier. Soybean meal export dropped to 0.9 mln tons (1.09) while soybean oil export grew to 93,000 tons (52,000).
