FAO Estimates Slight Reduction Of World Grain Production In 2017

2017 world grain yield will be 2.597 mlrd tons, which is just 9 mln tons short of the 2016 record index, according to the latest FAO forecast.

Wheat production will drop by 2.7% to 740 mln tons mainly caused by Australia, Canada and the USA.

Grain fodder production will reach a new record level of 1.353 mlrd tons.

This is the first forecast of the season an it is quite likely that it will change over the next few months.
