Latest FAS USDA Forecasts

Over the new season, grain import in Vietnam will dcrease according to FAS USDA's latest forecast.

Over the current season, domestic wheat consumption will drop to 4.15 mln tons from 4.35 mln tons including 2.5 mln tons of wheat fodder (2.75). Wheat fodder import will go down to 4.5 mln tons (5.0) as it is mainly delivered from the Black Sea region. The 2017 – 2018 corn consumption will grow to 11.9 mln tons (10.88) including 10.5 mln tons of wheat fodder (9.48). Corn import will go down to 6.5 mln tons (7.7). Corn is mainly delivered to the country from South America.

During 2017 – 2018, wheat import in Jordan will decrease to 1.3 mln tons (1.427 mln tons over the current season). Romania, Russia and Ukraine will be the biggest suppliers. Domestic wheat consumption has remained steady – 1.3 mln tons. Barley import will go down to 825,000 tons (850,000). Delieveries are mainly made from Romania, Russia and Ukraine. Corn import will be 600,000 tons (680,000). Argentina and Brazil are the main corn suppliers. Over the new season, the USA may deliver 100,000 tons of wheat (28,000) to Jordan.
