It is expected that the harvested corn volume in South Africa will reach 14.175 mln tons in the new season (-1% versus the previous forecst and +82% more than last year).

On 20.04.2017, Japan purchased 95,555 tons of wheat from the USA and Canada.

A lot of 61,000 tons of corn from Paraguay will be delivered in the USA in May. This will be the biggest ever corn delivery from Paraguay. There was a similar lot of 49,540 tons in 2013. The deal is related to the high level of toxic content in the corn which is in the USA.

Over the period of April and May, the soybean oil imported in India from Argentina will reach 0.83 – 0.87 mln tons versus only 0.53 mln tons a year earlier.

South Korean company NOFI bought 70,000 tons of corn at 187.55 USD/ton C&F to be delivered before 30.08.2017. On 20.04.2017, an auction was carried out for the purchase of 207,000 tons of corn of random origin, to be delivered in September.

On 19.04.2017, South Korean company Feed Leaders' Committee (FLC) bought 60,000 tons of corn of random origin at the price of 190.6 USD/ton C&F, tobe delivered before 5.08.2017.

The government of Brazil has reaised 159 mln USD to secure the sale of farmers' corn. The measure is aimed to facilitate the sale of the record high corn yield.
