Over The Current Season, China Has Reduced Rapeseed Purchase From Canada

Between September 2016 and February 2017, 5.767 mln tons of rapeseed were exported from Canada, which was 16.8% more than the same period of last year.

Export growth was facilitated by the large rapeseed yield as well as by high demand from the EU, USA and the Asian countries.

Japan has purchased 1.15 mln tons of canola from Canada versus 1.05 mln tons a year earlier, Pakistan 666,300 tons (503,000), the EU 501,000 tons (301,000), USA 350,000 tons (140,000).

The biggest buyer of Canadian canola - China, has bought 1.73 mln tons (1.827). The decline is due to the high canola ending stocks in the country.
