Canada: Wheat And Barley Areas To Decrase; Rapeseed To Go Up

Over the current season, farmers in Canada will decrease hard wheat and barley areas, but canola will go up, Statistics Canada reported.

Over the season, canola areas will reach the record 9.065 mln hectares, which will be 9.9% more than last year. The previous estimates predicted areas of 8.62 mln hectares.

2.388 mln hectares of spring barley will be sowed (-8%) and another 1.967 mln hectares of lentils will be sowed (-25.2%).
